Thematic Apperception test

The Thematic Apperception test(TAT) is a test which helps to determine personality. Basically, the subject is shown a series of ambiguous pictures about which the subject must tell a story. The subject is asked to tell as dramatic a story as they can for each picture presented, including:
  • what has led up to the event shown
  • what is happening at the moment
  • what the characters are feeling and thinking, and
  • what the outcome of the story was.
There are 31 picture cards in the standard form of the TAT. Some of the cards show male figures, some female, some both male and female figures, some of ambiguous gender, some adults, some children, and some show no human figures at all. One is completely blank. Although the cards were originally designed to be matched to the subject in terms of age and gender, any card may be used with any subject. Most practitioners choose a set of approximately ten cards, either using cards that they feel are generally useful, or that they believe will encourage the subject's expression of emotional conflicts relevant to their specific history and situation.

my thoughts on Percy Jackson and the Lightning thief

10 differences between the Percy Jackson book and movie

1. Movie:Miss Dodds escaped through the window
book: Miss Dodds was killed by Percy Jackson

2. Movie: Percy Jackson had an ipod touch
book: Percy Jackson did not have any mobile devices

3. Movie:camp half-blood was in a forest
book: camp half-blood was on a big grass plain

4. Movie: Luke had his own cabin
Book: Luke shared his cabin with other half-bloods

5.Movie: Chiron knew Percy Jackson was Poseidon's son
book: Chiron did not know whose son Percy Jackson was

6.Movie:Percy Jackson had to find the three pearls using a map
book:the three pearls were given to him

7.Movie:Annabeth was fighting Percy Jackson during capture the flag
book:Annabeth was teamed up with Percy Jackson during capture the flag

8.movie: Hades appeared after the capture a flag to demand for the lightning bolt
book: a hellhound appeared and tried to kill Percy Jackson

9.movie: Medusa wore sunglasses
book: Medusa wore a veil

10. movie:on mount olympus, all the gods were present
book: only Poseidon and Zeus were present

I preferred the movie to the book as the battles are cooler to watch than to read. My favourite scene was when Percy Jackson and company fought a hydra. As Percy Jackson cut off all the heads, two more grew back. So Percy Jackson was fighting a ten headed hydra. Luckily, Grover used Medusa's head to freeze the hydra and it turned to stone.

My thoughts on Avatar

10 questions about Avatar
  1. Why did the humans want to cut down the tree of voices?
  2. How can a company employ ex-marines as mercenaries?
  3. Why didn't the navi just keep all the humans who did not die in the last battle as prisoners?
  4. why wasn't the helicopter able to find Jake Sully when he got lost?
  5. Why is weapon technology in the future basically the same as today?
  6. Why didn't Trudy(the helicopter pilot) shoot at the engines of the gunship?
  7. Why can't the RDA shuttle fly fast when it is carrying bombs (it was flying super fast at the start of the movie)
  8. Why can't the RDA afford a real bomber?(with actual bomb bays like the B-52)
  9. What do the navi eat?
  10. Why can't the RDA destroy another big tree, instead of the one the navi are living on?
My thoughts on Avatar
Avatar is a great movie. Everyone loves it. This is what I feel about the movie. I feel that the movie is amazing, with its awesome graphics and action packed battles. I like the fact that Pandora is similar, yet different from Earth. It is densely forested, and filled with lush greenery. It is different from Earth by its different type of plants, giant trees, floating mountains, etc. The planet is beautiful with amzing scenery. It is also full of action, from small skirmishes to the epic final battle. Of course, every movie has its disadvantages. Why is wheelchair technology the same as today? Why are the human ships so slow that native animals can overtake it? These questions still float around in my head. But nevertheless, Avatar is still a great movie. I hope a sequel will be produced.
